I get the sarcasm, I too see that the introduction of this operating system is nothing more than than a revenue generator for Microsoft (not that it isn't right for Microsoft to make money). But aside from a new flashy interface and the promised of more security, I am unsure vista has much to offer. One big thing is that vista will require more system resources and hardware. The other is that because it is completely new code (over a million lines of it) it may actually be less secure than xp is now. Security is not proclaimed it is tested and retested. OS are so complex now that a designer may fix one problem and create an whole new exploit that some hacker finds in a few months. I won't be rushing out to by a Vista that is for sure.
