I bought a computer and it came w/ windows vista home premium. Now it says that the product key that i typed is invalid for activation, what doesw that mean and what should i do
the answer is by Dave :I can solve your problem - downgrade. I have never been more disgusted with an operating system. I had to downgrade back to XP.

I have a horrid problem. I messed around with my comp and screwed everything up. i have 2 copies of vista one on my C drive and one on my D drive(backup). I have both Windows Vista and Kubuntu installed on my rig and it by default boots to Kubuntu if no choice is selected in the Grub boot loader Is it possible to make Grub load Vista By default.
the answer is by Silver :You need to edit /boot/grub/menu.lst file
sudo vi /boot/grub/menu.lst
Look for the following option
default 0 to default 4

Save and exit the file and reboot your system.

Ok, I have Vista and if you don't have it, don't get it. It's difficult and stupid and every week I have another computer problem. Now I was bringing some stuff over to my Vista computer from my other one and the darn thing did something. When I was merging my files, somehow, something happened.
Now as a result

U-Torrent Problem In Vista?

I have a problem running u-torrent in Vista. U-Torrent keeps freezing up and not running correctly. I have never had any problems XP.

I have ran the older versions of U Torrent and even had a go with the new 1.7 Beta.

Vista firewall is set to accept and so is all my antivirus, spyware etc.

Anybody got any ideas ??? Maybe a tweak or to.
