my mom recently bought a new computer and it has windows vista installed. my sister tested it out and tried to remove the antivirus software because it doesn't get updated and when she restarted the pc, the audio won't work anymore.. we tried reinstalling the sound driver but the pc won't allow the driver to be installed, the driver by the was is soundmax and it says "The audio driver files do not support your computer hardware." We tried restarting the computer several times but it still wont work.. any ideas on how to solve this vista problem? did anyone else experience this same problem?

boot into safe mode click on last good configution. if it works, leave things alone.
