I bought a new computer and it had the "new and improved" Vista already installed. The problem is…I HATE IT! How do I get my XP back and will it cause problems to my computer if I try t get rid of Vista?

Yes, you'd better not do it yourself. Take it back to the shop and ask them to do it. You'll have to BUY XP though… it's available till next June or July.

Actually (most people don't know about this for obvious reasons) if you have Vista Premium or Ultimate, Microsoft is offering a DOWNGRADE (!! no kidding) disc to roll back to XP seamlessly right from your current Vista OS. Ask your shop (not all shops have it) or contact Microsoft. Even if they say they don't know anything, they eventually WILL give you the downgrade disc and totally FREE. If you have a "lower" edition, you don't qualify.
