I'm changing my desktop pc to run linux, but I don't know which one yet…
I like really modern, classy graphic effects and gadgets (kinda like vista sidebar? - im migrating from windows)
Also, the main use of my PC is to watch lots of movies and tv and music… What is the best linux (or linux apps) to do this - again, i would like really nice graphic effects of some sort to make it look awesome!

You can get pretty much any distro, but i would recommend ubuntu because it's easy to learn.

The important thing is to install compiz (its free of course). You'll find lots of videos on youtube of what people are doing with the effects and such.
