Vista os problem, the start button and the toolbars runs crazy. All of it not stable. plz help?

Tweak Vista Home To Run Less Than 30 Processes?
I currently have 75+ Processes running. I think that is ridiculous. I have 2gb ram on my laptop… 1.5hgz x2 core duo
If i installed win Xp I feel that my laptop would run 2x as smooth…
So does anyone have hints tips to make vista run with less processors?

Recently i did some tweak in my vista ultimate. now i can see a strange thing. when i click 'Computer' icon and leave it minimized after a while it shows me a folder icon in taskbar instead of computer icon. so plz guys help me to fix it as default

Broadband internet slow on vista- was fast?
I have 5mb internet from charter. My internet was running fine, now it seems to take a long time like dialup. It sits there saying waiting then will eventually load the page. I can download files once they finially connect to and load the server. i have a major problem with my microsoft VISTA windows movie maker. whenever i try to put the movie into the DVD, the process goes up to 98.9% and then the DVD pops out and says that there was an error. What is the problem? I really need help.

Vista and wallpaper changing?
I found a Vista gadget that would cycle through my images and change my desktop wallpaper at chosen intervals. However it doesn't tell you what the file name is. Is there anyway I can tell what image file is being used for the wallpaper? Thanks for any help.
