You must buy a Windows XP Disk to downgrade, because it is really another piece of software that you don’t own. On personal experience, though, give it 1-2 months if you haven’t already - you will get used to it. I didn’t really like Vista when I first got it but now I would easily choose it over XP. If you do want to downgrade though, read this:

You need an XP install disc, and even then not simple - Windows doesn’t like reverting.
Have a look at Wubi, and see how you like it!

I think there should be support groups for us. Vista is like hanging out with a five year old the day after halloween, when he’s gotten into his candy.

You need a disk, search for them on ebay or amazon, Microsoft does not support it any more.. I would stick with vista. It is the best operating system out there, with all due respect, if you are disagreeing with me right now they I suggest you actually learn something about computers, other then getting your information from anti-pc ads from Apple.
64-bit Vista is the 2nd most advanced operating system, 1st would be Solaris, which is a Linux-based operating system.

Not really an answer as much as an opinion. Vista is designed for people who don’t know how to use computers. So, if you do, and you like power features, you’re left out in the hall so to speak. You can buy a disk and downgrade to XP, but this will get increasingly more difficult as new hardware isn’t supported. If you like the more powerful features of XP that are tougher to find in Vista, maybe consider Linux or something like that. Ubuntu being the obvious choice. I’m moving in that direction myself.

If you have an installation disk for XP, you can put another hard drive in the computer, disconnect the existing one, install XP on your new hard drive, leaving the Vista disk as a virgin drive, should you ever decide to change back to that over hyped, sluggish, eye candy fest.
It’s what I did

When you are willing to wait till 2010, you can get Windows 7. That is the year it comes out.
You can change back to xp, but you need to get a cd of windows xp.
You might have to rush, because soon you will not be able to get windwos xp any more.
