My internet connection keeps showing limited connectivity. Happens wireless and ethernet. Have vista. ?

Did you recently upgrade to Vista? If so, there there might be a compatibility problem with your network card and Vista. If you can get internet with another computer, this it the most likely problem. Try to get the latest driver updates for your network card and see if that fixes the problem.

If it’s a computer that came with Vista, try calling the manufacturer for technical support.

Computer freezes just after login ?

Basically I ran a huge scan on my computer because it was behaving weirdly, it found numerous Trojan’s, so they were sent to the virus vault and removed, I restarted my computer just to finish off the scan and since then my computer will only not freeze if it’s in safe mode (like now), it freezes just after I sign on my account, I see the desktop, no gadget bar appears either I am using Windows Vista, please help ?

Try running System Restore….
If that doesn’t help wipe your hard drive and put in your Recovery disks and Start All Over

to be honest, no one likes vista. were all vista users 100% satisfied and happy with it?? NO. they all experienced problems. so i’d say stick to windows xp until the vista revolution takes over. you see it’s just like moving to HD Tv’s from the normal ones. it takes time to improve

CPU = Intel core2 duo Processor E4300 1.8Ghz
RAM = 1024MB/ 1 GB
HDD = 10 GB free space
I’m going to purchase a Graphic Card
NVIDIA GIGABYTE GEforce 7800 GTX , 265MB (64/32 BIT) PCI-E.
I’m going to buy this from my “pocket money”
friends, MY motherboard is only 32 bit .so should this card will run on my pc wihtout any problem OR should I get this card in 32 BIT or not.

WITH ALL THESE GADGETS CAN I ‘LL BE ABLE TO PLAY COD4

first of all the bits mentioned in the graphics card are only for graphics processing. so they will be compatible with your pc assuming you have a PCI-X 16x slot on ur mother board.

secondly the 7800gtx is an outdated modl. so forget about it if you want to play COD 4, which requires atleast 256 mb of graphics memory. it wil run better on 512 mb memory.

instead you can buy any one of 8600gt (512 MB, 256 bit) or 8800gtx(512 mb, 256bit) from ZOTAC, PALIT or Zebronics. it costs about rs 3500-4000 only(both models).

How can I get Borland JBuilder to work on Windows Vista?

I have software for the Borland JBuilder Java compiler. It runs for windows xp perfectly, but I got a new computer that runs on Vista, which I love. ONLY thing, is that for some reason, it will start installing, but then it’ll get stuck. I really need this because I am teaching computer sci to other students at my high school.

You might be out of luck. Borland was the company that invented DBase, the first relational database for DOS/Windows. Microsoft put it out of business (essentially) by coming up with Access, and selling it for $50, at first. Borland struggled to come up with other profit-making software, including yours. I used to drive by the mansion/plant they had in Scotts Valley, CA almost daily, it was sad to see it almost uninhabited. I doubt they have re-certified their newer software for Vista, but googling may tell u otherwise.

mostly, its people that say that it needs more resources then xp, at least me and my freinds who play video games it drops how the game can perform because vista uses more of the memory and stuff. but other than that, its pretty nice. but with UAC turned off, its a relief. but the other thing i really hate is the DEP. i didnt know how to turn it off so few things i did, vista wouldnt allow it to run because it thought it was a “virus”

but windows 7 is gonna be like vista, but less memory consuming

I am using windows vista basic. I face problem when I create another user account. I have administrator account and when i turn on guest account it is created well and can be put on but when i try logging in i am unable to log in the screen show” logging off ” and i am returned to same log on screen.

I really liked having the “gadgets” menu on windows vista but I’m using windows xp on my laptop and is there a way I can get something that shows the date on my desktop or something for free like that? also what is todays date?

Click on the time on the bar.It will pop up a calender. Today is October 16, 2008 of the 21st century.

Vista Problem: No Audio Output Device Installed?

I have a brand new PC. No problems. Vista Business. Installed Compatible Sound Driver. Sound Worked Fine. But… Often I Get the message saying “No Audio Output Device Installed” with a cross sign on the speaker. I have to restart PC or go to sleep mode and revive back. After that sound comes back but this problem often crops back again. I’ve tried reinstalling the drivers and updating them. But this problem still persists. I’m fed up please help me.

Its most likely being caused by your computer entering sleep mode or by a program using your audio card. The only way to isolate the culprit may be to only run programs that use you audio card one at a time to see which one prompts the error after a certain amount of time.
